Today on the International Transgender Day of Visibility we celebrate the life and work of Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans women activist, sex worker and drag performer.
As a key figure in the gay liberation movement, Marsha fought and won many battles that serve as inspiration for climate acctivists everwhere.
The movement Johnson built was central to sparking the 1979 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. This led to Wisconsin being the first US state to outlaw LGBTQ+ discrimination in 1982.
Let's accept all our differences, physical and mental, love is love in any of its forms, it should not be a discriminating factor.
