Easter Monday is set to be a big day for football referee Rebecca Welch, as she becomes the first woman to officiate an EFL game from the start, Welch has been asked to take charge of the League Two match between Harrogate and Port Vale.
Amy Fearn was the first woman to referee a EFL game when she came on as an injury replacement in the 2010 Championship game between Coventry and Nottingham Forest, but Welch is the first to be given a game from the off.
Inspiring and encouraging women and girls to make their dreams come true is important, as we can dream and create things just as great.
