“When I was in primary school, one day my friend got an arm injury from a firework accident and could no longer play volleyball. As the days went by, she was bullied because of it and became depressed. She completely lost all her self-confidence. It's very tough to face such a situation. I always wanted to put an end to bullying. After I heard about the Generation Unlimited challenge, I immediately took up the opportunity to make a change.”
Nisma from Thailand founded ‘DAWN’, a creative twist of the classic snakes and ladders board game which educates children about the harms of bullying and how to resolve conflict.
She's a global winner of the Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge. Nisma serves as an example to us all, embodying how, if given the right opportunities, young people can steer themselves and us towards a future more fit for children and young people.
